About
About MXDVS
MXDVS was founded in late 2015 by Belgian designer Max Reynders with a simple but uncompromising vision. Since its origin, the goal has been to create clothing that is layered with symbolism and reflection.
To bring this to life, MXDVS works through deconstruction and reconstruction, taking what’s ordinary and breaking it apart before rebuilding it into new forms. Through recurring imagery and references, we aim to question culture and society, using design as a language to provoke thought. We believe each garment becomes part of someone’s identity, a medium for confidence and self-expression. We see what we create as tools or fragments, bricks and mortar, for each individual’s personal narrative.
We aim to remain fully independent, without outside investors or corporate influence. We also strive to stay autonomous, managing everything in-house at our atelier in Antwerp, Belgium, with a dedicated team of just seven people. From our sewing atelier and logistics to our knitwear department, equipped with two knitting machines, and our creative division developing new designs and editorials, every step is handled internally. This autonomy gives us complete creative freedom to create not for trends or profit, but for longevity and authenticity.
All made possible by you.
